Bobby Herrera Killed in Car Crash at North 15th and Grape Streets in Abilene

Bobby Herrera Killed in Abilene Two-Vehicle Crash at North 15th Street and Grape Street

Abilene, Texas (May 26, 2022) – A woman was killed and two other people were injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in North Abilene, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 5:30 a.m., at the intersection of North 15th and Grape Streets.

Police said a 2012 Ford Escape was traveling northbound on Grape Street when it struck the driver’s side of a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix that was traveling westbound on North 15th Street.

The Grand Prix came to a stop in the front yard of a nearby home and the driver, 36-year-old Bobby Herrera of Abilene, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 30-year-old female passenger in the Grand Prix was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Escape driver also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
