Four Hospitalized after Slaton Crash on Highway 84

Slaton, Texas (August 10, 2019) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Friday morning near Slaton, according to the DPS.

The crash took place at around 11:49 a.m. Friday, August 9, on U.S. Highway 84.

DPS said some men helped a driver change a flat tire on the side of the highway. The driver then tried to enter the highway and was struck by a passing vehicle.

The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn. Four people were inside the overturned vehicle.

Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
