Five Killed in Comfort Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87

Comfort, Texas (June 20, 2023) – Five people were killed on Monday in a head-on collision in Comfort, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash happened on June 19, near the 900 block of Highway 87.

Troopers said a small white car was traveling northbound when it disregarded a no-passing zone and crashed head-on into a black car.

All four people in the white car and the driver of the black car were killed in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
