55-Year-Old Man Killed in Crash on East Loop North in Houston

55-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Crash on East Loop North (East Interstate Highway 610 North)

Houston, Texas (November 22, 2022) – A man was killed Saturday morning in a crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:25 a.m., November 19, in the 900 block of East Loop North (East Interstate Highway 610 North).

Police said a 55-year-old man was possibly changing a flat tire outside a green Honda Element, which was stopped on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of the highway. A 26-year-old woman was driving a gold Toyota Avalon when she failed to drive in a single lane and struck the rear of the Honda and the man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Toyota driver was taken to a local hospital with broken bones. She did not show signs of impairment.

The police are investigating the crash.
