59-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Hwy 351 in Abilene

59-Year-Old Man Killed in North Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Highway 351

Abilene, Texas – A 59-year-old man was killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run accident in North Abilene, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:50 a.m., February 29, on Highway 351 at the intersection with the Greyhound bus station.

Police said the man was in a wheelchair crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver, a man, was later arrested.

No additional information was available.

The police are investigating the crash.
