62-Year-Old Man Killed in DUI Crash on Randol Mill Road in Arlington; Dangelo Ortega Arrested

62-Year-Old Man Killed in Arlington Two-Vehicle Crash on Randol Mill Road at AT&T Way; Dangelo Ortega Arrested

Arlington, Texas (September 8, 2021) – According to the police, a 62-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning in a DUI crash in Arlington.

The deadly crash happened around 1:39 a.m., September 7, in the 1500 block E. Randol Mill Road at the intersection of AT&T Way.

Police said Dangelo Ortega, of Garland, was driving northbound on AT&T Way when he ran a red light at the intersection and hit a vehicle that was traveling westbound on E. Randol Mill Road.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 62-year old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name has not been released.

Ortega was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter. He will be arraigned upon release from a local hospital. Another passenger in his vehicle, Latarik Jackson, was arrested for felony warrants for Murder and Aggravated Assault out of Harrison County, Texas. A third passenger was released to the medical staff at the scene.

The police are conducting the investigation.
