68-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Westheimer in Houston

68-Year-Old Man Killed in West Houston Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road near Lazy Hollow Drive

Houston, Texas (September 17, 2022) – According to the police, a 68-year-old man who was using a walker was killed early Friday morning in a hit-and-run crash in West Houston.

The deadly accident happened just after 5:00 a.m., September 16, on Westheimer Road near Lazy Hollow Drive.

Police said the man was using a walker to cross the southbound lane when he was struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk.

The man was dragged a mile to a mile and a half down the road.

Multiple body parts were found between Lazy Hollow and Hullsmith Drive. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The driver failed to stop and render aid.

It was dark at the time of the crash.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes of Westheimer between Lazy Hollow and Hullsmith.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information on the wanted driver or vehicle, in this case, is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
