19-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after San Angelo Boat Accident on Lake Nasworthy Friday afternoon

San Angelo, Texas (July 20, 2019) – A 19-year-old teenage boy was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a boating accident in San Angelo, authorities said.

The incident took place just before 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19 on Lake Nasworthy.

Reports say the 19-year-old teenage boy was wakeboarding with his friends on the lake when for an unknown reason, he fell into engine propeller of the boat.

The boy was taken to Shannon Medical Center with severe lacerations.

The San Angelo Police and Fire Department’s Lake Patrol Unit are investigating the cause of the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
