Christopher Espitia Killed in Victoria Pedestrian Accident on N. Main Street

Victoria, Texas (October 24, 2020) – A man was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run crash in Victoria, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m., October 19, in the 1300 block of N. Main Street.

Police said Christopher Espitia, 38, of Victoria, was standing in the northbound outside lane of the street when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Espitia was declared dead at the scene.

The authorities are looking for a black Chevrolet Avalanche, Cadillac Escalade EXT, or pickup with an aftermarket sports bar accessory that mimics the Avalanche’s distinctive shape in connection with the crash.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Victoria Crime Stoppers at 361-572-4200.
