7 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on Main Street in Gun Barrel City

Seven Injured in Gun Barrel City Three-Vehicle Crash on Main Street

Gun Barrel City, Texas (August 6, 2023) – Seven people were injured Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Gun Barrel City, according to officials.

The crash happened around 2:45 p.m., August 5, in the 300 block of East Main Street.

Officials said two pickup trucks and a third vehicle collided. The driver of a white Ford pickup truck was trapped in their vehicle, and firefighters used the Jaws of Life to safely rescue them. The driver was airlifted to a Tyler hospital for treatment. 

Six other people were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
