Abram Moreno Killed in Rear-End Collision on U.S. 81 in Wise County

Abram Moreno ID’d as Driver Killed in Wise County Crash on U.S. 81 near County Road 4843

Wise County, Texas (August 2, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the driver who died following a traffic crash on Monday evening in Wise County as Abram Moreno, 29, of Boyd.

The deadly crash happened at around 5:07 p.m. Monday, August 1 on U.S. 81 near County Road 4843.

DPS said a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2022 Volvo truck tractor hauling a box trailer were heading northbound on U.S. 81 when the Dodge Ram crashed into the back end of the trailer of the Volvo truck tractor.

Moreno who was driving the Dodge Ram was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Volvo, A-Keya Daishona Reese, 42, of Dallas, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
