Jacobi Scott Among Two Killed in Marshall Two-Vehicle Crash at U.S. 59 North and Loop 390
Marshall, Texas (May 10, 2019) – Two Louisiana natives were killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Marshall, police said.
The fatal crash was reported at about 6:10 p.m. May 8, at the intersection of U.S. 59 North and Loop 390.
According to a preliminary investigation, two vehicles were heading southbound on U.S 59 North intending to turn eastbound onto Loop 390. The first vehicle completed its turn onto the Loop but the second vehicle was hit by an 18-wheeler which was heading northbound on U.S. 59 as it crossed the northbound lanes of U.S. 59 towards Loop 390.
Jacobi Scott, as well as another Louisiana native, who was in the second vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
They were returning home from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where they were on the football team when the accident happened.
The police are investigating the crash.
