Grady Lambert Critically Injured in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident on FM 2575

Amarillo, Texas (August 31, 2022) – A man was critically injured after being hit by a truck Sunday afternoon just east of Amarillo, according to the DPS.

The accident happened on August 28, on FM 2575.

DPS said Grady Lambert was running on a service road when he was struck by a pickup truck.

The truck driver said he couldn’t see Lambert until it was too late because the sun was in his eyes.

Lambert was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital in critical condition.

Lambert was running from Oregon to South Carolina to support those impacted by the pandemic.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help with the expenses.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
