Two Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at South Loop 289 and University Avenue
Lubbock, Texas (November 5, 2019) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening at a Lubbock intersection, according to the police.
The collision took place around 6:30 p.m. on November 3, at the intersection of South Loop 289 and University Avenue.
Police said a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro was heading southbound on University Avenue while a marked LPD Tahoe was heading northbound with its emergency lights and siren on.
The Camaro attempted to turn onto S. Loop 289 access road and failed to yield the right-of-way to the LPD Tahoe, resulting in a collision.
Both drivers sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
The LPD’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is conducting the investigation.
