Adan Castillo-Venzor, Israel Gonzalez-Nunez Hospitalized after Ector County Collision at Highway 302 and FM 1936

Ector County, Texas (July 13, 2022) – Adan Castillo-Venzor, 26, of Wichita, Kansas, and Israel Gonzalez-Nunez, 40, of Seminole, Texas, were injured after they were involved in a fatal crash Monday night at an intersection in Ector County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash took place at the intersection of Highway 302 and FM 1936 on July 11.

DPS said a 2017 Ford F-350, driven by Castillo-Venzor, was traveling northbound on FM 1936 while a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Keethan James Gould, 40, of Farmington, New Mexico, was heading westbound on State Highway 302.

Castillo-Venzor failed to yield the right of way at a yield sign, and as a result, his truck was hit by Gould’s car.

Gould and his two passengers, David Saenz-Cera, 35, of Dumas, Texas, and Angel A. Rico DeLeon, 27, of Big Lake, Texas, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Castillo-Venzor and his passenger, Gonzalez-Nunez, were transported to Medical Center Hospital, where they are in stable condition.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
