1 Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Gulf Freeway near Telephone Road

Houston, Texas (February 2, 2020) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The accident took place at about 12:13 a.m. on Gulf Freeway near Telephone Road.

Police said the pedestrian was crossing the southbound lanes of the freeway when they were hit by a vehicle. That part of the freeway is poorly lit.

The victim was killed in the crash. Due to the severity of the injuries, the police were unable to identify the race or sex of the victim.

The driver remained at the scene after the accident and was not intoxicated.

The police are investigating the crash.
