Man Injured in Killeen Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on South Fort Hood Street

Killeen, Texas (April 18, 2023) – A man was injured last month in a hit-and-run accident in Killeen, according to the police.

The accident happened around 6:46 a.m., March 28, in the 3100 block of South Fort Hood Street.

Police said the man was crossing the street when he was struck by a pickup truck, which was traveling in the southbound outside lane.

The pickup fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was located in a ditch on the westbound side of the road and was taken to Scott and White with serious injuries but in stable condition. 

The pickup truck was described as a silver in color with a possible suspension lift kit, with large tires and wheels. It might possibly have black tow-style mirrors, window tint, and black door handles.
