Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Hillcroft at Skyline in Houston

52-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Motorcycle Accident on Hillcroft at Skyline

Houston, Texas (August 13, 2020) – A 52-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night in southwest Houston, according to police.

The deadly crash happened on August 12, in the 3300 block of Hillcroft at Skyline.

Police said the man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle northbound when a southbound Toyota made a left turn onto Skyline in front of him.

The motorcyclist then crashed into the side of the Toyota. He was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Toyota driver, a 63-year-old man, was not intoxicated, but officers said he was cited because he failed to yield the right of way.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Most motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers who don’t keep a proper lookout or fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcyclists are vulnerable, their injuries are usually severe, often suffering from road rash, broken bones, brain injuries, amputations, or spinal cord injuries. In some cases, the accident results in death.
