Juan Loredo and 2-Month-Old Killed in Aldine Hit-and-Run Crash on Airline Drive near Aldine Mail Route Road; Jose Vazquez-Gonzalez Arrested
Aldine, Texas (August 23, 2023) – Two people were killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in Aldine, according to the deputies.
The deadly accident happened around 11:50 p.m., August 19, on Airline Drive near Aldine Mail Route Road.
Deputies said a black Chevy Silverado was speeding northbound on Airline Drive when it crashed into a maroon Dodge Ram that was turning right from Aldine Mail Route Road.
The Ram driver, Juan Loredo, was ejected and was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His four passengers, ages 28, 10, 7, and a 2-month-old, were also taken to the hospital, where the 2-month-old infant died on August 20.
The Silverado driver, Jose Antonio Vazquez-Gonzalez, fled the scene after the crash. He turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday morning. He has been charged with Fail to Stop and Render Aid – Death and Fail to Stop and Render Aid – Serious Bodily Injury and was being processed into the Harris County Joint Processing Center.
An investigation is underway.
