Man Hit and Injured by Train at San Marcos and Rivas Street in San Antonio

Man Hospitalized after San Antonio Train Crash on San Marcos and Rivas Street

San Antonio, Texas (April 15, 2019) – A man was struck and injured by a train early Monday morning northwest of downtown San Antonio, according to a police report.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. at San Marcos and Rivas Street.
Police said the man was walking along the railroad tracks when a train struck him. The train conductor reported sounded the horn but the pedestrian did not respond in time.
The victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment of back and head injuries.
Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
