Gloria Alvarado, Ronnie Walker and Linda Walker Injured in Decatur Collision at FM 51 and County Road 2825

Decatur, Texas (September 22, 2022) – Gloria Alvarado, 32, of Fort Worth, Ronnie Walker, 75, and Linda Walker, 71, both of Desdemona, were injured after they were involved in a deadly traffic collision Wednesday morning in Decatur.

The incident happened just before 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, at the intersection of FM 51 and County Road 2825.

Alvarado was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius on FM 51 when she disregarded a no-passing zone and tried to pass a truck tractor that was hauling a trailer up a hill.

As the Toyota was passing the truck tractor, a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup crested the hill going northbound. Ultimately, the two vehicles collided in the northbound lane.

Roosevelt King Jr., 51, of Fort Worth, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alvarado was taken to Wise Health System in unknown condition. Ronnie Walker, who was the driver of the Dodge, and his passenger, Linda Walker, 71, were airlifted to Medical City of Denton by medical helicopter with unspecified injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
