Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Westheimer Road in Houston

Woman Killed in Houston Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road near West Houston Center

Houston, Texas (March 16, 2020) – A woman was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident in west Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:45 p.m. March 15, in the 12100 block of Westheimer Road near West Houston Center.

Police said the woman was crossing Westheimer Road when she was struck by a westbound Mazda CX-5.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died. Her name has not been disclosed.

The driver of the Mazda stopped and called 911 but then fled the scene. He drove to his job, where his boss asked him to return to the scene. He was then arrested.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
