1 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-45 in Ellis County

Woman Killed in Ellis County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 45

Ellis County, Texas (December 21, 2021) – A woman was killed early Monday morning in a wrong-way crash in Ellis County, according to the police.

The deadly crash happened around 3:00 a.m., December 20, on Interstate 45, near the exit for Palmer.

Police said a woman was driving an SUV northbound on the interstate when she crossed over the median, for unknown reasons, and crashed head-on into a southbound -wheeler.

The woman was ejected from the SUV, and she was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The crash closed all lanes of the freeway and were reopened after about 6:30 a.m.

The police are investigating the crash.
