Two Injured, One Arrested after Rear-End Crash on South First Street in Lufkin

2 Hospitalized after Lufkin Two-Vehicle Crash on South First Street near Taco Casa

Lufkin, Texas (January 22, 2020) – Two people were injured in a rear-end crash Tuesday afternoon in Lufkin, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred at about 3:40 p.m. January 21, in the 1500 block of South First Street, in front of Taco Casa. 

Police said a Chevrolet Malibu rear-ended a Hyundai Tucson in the outside southbound lane of the street.

The driver and a young passenger in the Hyundai were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Chevrolet driver was arrested and taken into custody for traffic violations.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
