Jack Ward Killed in Odessa Scooter Accident at North County Road West and Sunset

Odessa, Texas (July 31, 2021) – According to the police, an elderly man was killed Friday afternoon in a scooter accident in northwest Odessa.

The deadly accident happened around 1:41 p.m., July 30, at the intersection of North County Road West and Sunset.

Police said Jack William Ward II, 83, was riding a motorized scooter and was trying to cross the roadway when he was struck by an SUV.

Ward was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The police are investigating the crash.
