Addison Louise Hickman Killed in Car Accident on Texas Highway 49 in Shreveport 

3-Year-Old Addison Louise Hickman Killed in Marion County Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas Highway 49

Shreveport, Texas (February 19, 2020) – A 3-year-old girl was killed, and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday in Marion County, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 7:21 a.m. February 14, on Texas Highway 49.

DPS said Karen Cooper,59, of Jefferson, was driving a 1994 Ford Taurus southeast on the highway when she slowed for emergency vehicles at the scene of another crash and was rear-ended by a 1999 Cadillac DeVille driven by 48-year-old Michael Carr, of Avinger.

3-year-old Addison Louise Hickman, who was a passenger in the Taurus, was taken to Ochsner LSU Health, the Shreveport hospital, where she later died.

Cooper, her other juvenile passenger, and Carr were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
