Allan Salas ID’d as Man Killed in Ward County Crash on RM 2355

Ward County, Texas (October 1, 2022) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the man who died in a head-on crash on Thursday evening in Ward County as Allan Salas, 30.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. on September 29 on RM 2355 outside of Pyote.

DPS said Salas was driving eastbound on RM 2355 when his Ford F-250 began a side skid. The Ford veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a truck tractor.

The driver of the truck tractor was taken to Ward Memorial Hospital, where is in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation by DPS.
