Two Killed and Deputy Injured in Round Rock Two-Vehicle Crash at CR 172 and Hesters Crossing

Round Rock, Texas (April 16, 2020) – Two people were killed, and a deputy was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Round Rock, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash took place around noon, April 15, at the intersection of CR 172 and Hesters Crossing.

Deputies said two vehicles were involved in a collision at the intersection.

Two people in one of the vehicles were killed in the crash. The victims’ identities have not been released.

A deputy sustained severe burns to his arm and hands while pulling out a person from one of the vehicles that was on fire. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

The crash closed the intersection, and motorists were urged to avoid the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
