Alvaro Cedillo Killed in Pedestrian Accident on FM 400 in Hale County

18-Year-Old Alvaro Cedillo Killed in Hale County Pedestrian Accident on FM 400 near Lancaster Street

Hale County, Texas (April 6, 2020) – A teenager was killed in a pedestrian accident Monday morning in Hale County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The accident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on FM 400, just west of Lancaster Street.

DPS said 18-year-old Alvaro Cedillo, of Plainview, was attempting to cross the street from the southbound to the northbound side when he was struck by an eastbound Dodge Ram driven by 64-year-old Encarnasio Reyna of Lorenzo.

Reyna didn’t see Cedillo crossing the road.

Cedillo was taken to Covenant Hospital in Plainview, where he later died.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
