6 Injured after Van Crashes into Apartment on Flame Circle in San Antonio

Six Hospitalized after San Antonio Van Crash into Apartment on Flame Circle

San Antonio, Texas (October 25, 2019) – Six people, including three children, were injured Friday morning after a van crashed into an apartment building in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The incident was reported just before 3:30 a.m., near the 800 block of Flame Circle.

Police said a 1997 Ford Van was heading westbound on March Avenue at a high rate of speed when it hit a curb at the intersection of March Avenue and Flores Street and went airborne.

The van hit a tree and then crashed through the wall of an apartment building.

The crash debris landed on top of a 30-year-old woman, a 10-year-old boy, a 7-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old girl, who were all asleep inside the apartment. They were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The van driver, a 27-year-old man, had to be extricated. He and a female passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators said alcohol was a likely factor in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
