Tammy Young Killed, Richard Allen Injured in Head-On Crash on SH 135 in Overton

Tammy Young Killed and Richard Allen Injured in Overton Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 135

Overton, Texas (December 10, 2021) – A woman was killed, and a man was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Overton, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 11:05 a.m., December 7, on State Highway 135.

DPS said Tammy L. Young, 55, of Troup, was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima southbound on the highway when she crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a 2021 Ford F-150.

Young was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver, Richard C. Allen, of Arp, was taken to a Tyler hospital in serious condition.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
