Alvin ISD Student Killed in Bicycle Crash on Davis Bend Road in Alvin

Teenager Killed in Alvin Bicycle Crash on Davis Bend Road near Owen Street

Alvin, Texas (October 17, 2020) – A 16-year-old Alvin ISD student was killed Friday morning in a bicycle crash in Alvin, according to police.

The deadly accident happened just before 7:00 a.m., October 16, on Davis Bend Road near Owen Street.

Police said the teenager was riding a bicycle northbound in the southbound lanes when he was hit by a southbound car.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has been released.

Officers said driver distraction or speed were not factors in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
