Driver Killed in Houston Crash on Westheimer Road (FM 1097) at Westheimer Place

Houston, Texas (June 27, 2023) – An adult driver died after an SUV struck a large trailer on Monday afternoon in Houston, authorities said.

The deadly crash happened on Westheimer Road at Westheimer Place, which is just near George Bush Park on Monday, June 26. Westheimer Road is also known as FM-1097

Authorities said a white SUV hit a flatbed trailer carrying construction equipment.

The driver of the SUV died in the crash.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
