At Least 1 Hospitalized after Winkler County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 115

Winkler County, Texas (August 5, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a head-on collision Monday morning in Winkler County, according to a local news release.

The crash occurred around 6:11 a.m. on Highway 115, about five miles south of Kermit.

Officials said two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons on the highway. One of the vehicles caught on fire on impact.

At least one man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
