Three Injured in Plano Two-Vehicle Crash at McDermott Road and Preston Meadow Drive; Jeffrey Alan Barnett Arrested

Plano, Texas (May 16, 2020) – Three people, including 3-year-old, were injured on Monday in a DUI crash in Plano, according to police.

The crash happened on Monday, May 11, at the intersection of McDermott Road and Preston Meadow Drive.

Police said Jeffrey Alan Barnett, 57, of Allen, was driving a Ford F-250 when he ran a stop sign and crashed into a minivan, occupied by the three people, including the 3-year-old.

The three people in the minivan were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Barnett was arrested and is facing three counts of intoxication assault, unlawful carrying weapons, and resisting arrest.

The Plano police traffic unit is investigating the crash.
