Jose Flores III Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Castroville

San Antonio, Texas (June 21, 2021) – A man was killed last week Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in San Antonio’s West Side, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:45 p.m., June 11, in the 1600 block of Castroville Road.

Police said Jose Flores III, 37, was trying to cross the road when he was struck by an SUV.

The SUV driver fled the scene after the accident.

Flores was taken to University Hospital in critical condition where he later died.

Officers said the SUV has front-end damage.

The crash closed Castroville Road for several hours.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
