At Least One Killed and Several Injured in Hudspeth County Multi-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 62/180

Hudspeth County, Texas (June 11, 2020) – According to a local news source, at least one person was killed and several others were injured Thursday morning in a multi-vehicle in Hudspeth County, just east of a Border Patrol checkpoint.

The fatal crash occurred just after 9:00 a.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 62/180 near milepost 54.

According to a preliminary investigation, the crash involved a pickup truck towing a trailer and a car carrying passengers.

At least one person was killed in the crash.

Several other people were taken to El Paso area hospitals by helicopter and ambulances.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes of the highway. Motorists were urged to avoid the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
