Bailey Farwell Injured in Jasper County Crash on US Highway 190

Jasper County, Texas (May 23, 2019) – One person was hospitalized with major injuries following a multi-vehicle accident in Jasper County on Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, on U.S. Highway 190.
A 2018 Nissan passenger SUV was reportedly heading west on US Highway 190 when it slowed down for a stopped 18-wheeler. A 2008 Pontiac passenger vehicle was not able to stop in time and rear-ended the Nissan. The force of the crash caused the Nissan to strike the stopped 18-wheeler.
18-year-old Bailey Kay Farwell of Bon Wier, who was driving the Nissan, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a Lufkin Hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
