Barbara Ann Delong Succumbs to Injuries after Motorcycle Crash on US 59 in Angelina County

Barbara Ann Delong Killed in Angelina County Motorcycle Accident on U.S. Highway 59

Angelina County, Texas (February 5, 2020) – The woman who was injured in a motorcycle accident on January 25, in Angelina County has died, according to the DPS.

Barbara Ann Delong, 44, of Luling, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 59 near the Angelina County Airport.

DPS said Jeremy Torrence, of Converse, was riding a 2018 Harley Davidson in the inside lane of the highway when he attempted to avoid a collision with a 2018 Ford SUV driven by Linda Frankens, 64, of Diboll. Frankens had exited a local road and was driving northbound in the inside lane.

Torrence rode to the left of the SUV and then attempted to re-enter the inside lane, and he ended up hitting the front portion of the SUV.

Delong, who was riding in the back of Torrence’s motorcycle, was airlifted to Conroe Regional Medical Center, where she later died.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
