64-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Bicycle Accident on South Wayside Drive and Avenue V
Houston, Texas (April 21, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday evening in Houston, police said.
The deadly accident happened at about 4:25 p.m. Thursday, April 18 on South Wayside Drive and Avenue V.
According to the police, the bicyclist was heading eastbound and was leaving a stop sign at the intersection of Avenue V when he was hit by a silver Toyota Scion XB that was traveling southbound on South Wayside Drive.
The bicyclist, only identified as 64-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The Toyota driver stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
