Brian J. Box Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on N. IH 35

Austin, Texas (June 13, 2021) – The man who was killed last month in a hit-and-run crash in Austin has been identified as Brian J. Box,31, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:20 a.m., May 18, in the 1900 block of N. IH 35 southbound service road.

Police said Box was in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

Box was also struck by a 2008 Saturn.

The Saturn driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Box was pronounced dead at the scene.
