Brian Kade Day Killed in Texarkana Pedestrian Accident on North Stateline Avenue

Texarkana, Texas (October 13, 2020) – A teenager was fatally hit by a car Sunday night in Texarkana, according to police.

The deadly accident happened shortly before 10:00 p.m., October 10, in the 6800 block of North Stateline Avenue.

Police said Jackson Giles, 20, of Texarkana, Arkansas, was driving a 2019 BMW southbound when he struck Brian Kade Day, 16, of Ashdown, Arkansas.

Investigators said Day had gotten out of another vehicle after becoming upset and ran into the darkness, shortly before he was hit by Giles.

Day was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
