Brianna Limas Killed in Car Crash on SH 349 in Martin County

Brianna Lexa Limas Killed in Martin County Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 349

Martin County, Texas (February 11, 2023) – One person was killed Thursday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Martin County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 7:18 p.m., February 9, on State Highway 349, just 6 miles north of Midland.

Authorities said Darren Dean Anthony, 58, of Midland, Texas, was driving southbound on the highway when he veered across the double yellow line into the northbound lanes, where he struck a vehicle driven by Madison Merrick from McAlester, Oklahoma.

Anthony then continued traveling in the northbound lanes, where he struck two other vehicles.

One of those drivers, identified as Brianna Lexa Limas, 19, from Midland, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
