23-Year-Old Caleb Fuentes Killed in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident on Saratoga Boulevard near Staples Street

Corpus Christi, Texas (March 5, 2020) – The pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle Monday night in Corpus Christi has been identified as 23-year-old Caleb Fuentes, according to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s office.

The deadly accident happened around 7:40 p.m. March 2, in the 5400 block of Saratoga Boulevard near Staples Street.

Police said Fuentes was crossing the street, outside of a designated crosswalk, when he was struck by a vehicle.

Fuentes was taken to Bay Area Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The involved driver remained at the scene after the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
