Carol Marjean Dowell and Shawn Edward Dowell ID’d as Two Killed in Longview Two-Vehicle Crash on Alpine Road
Longview, Texas (July 9, 2019) – The two people who were killed last month in a two-vehicle crash in Longview have been identified as Carol Marjean Dowell, 52, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Shawn Edward Dowell, 36, of Jefferson, according to the police.
The fatal crash took place on Friday, June 28, in the 2400 block of Alpine Road.
Police said Carol was driving southbound when she went into the northbound lane and struck an SUV driven by Brian Mims, 42, of Longview.
Carol was killed in the crash. Shawn, who was a backseat passenger in the car, was taken to a Longview hospital where he later died.
A front seat passenger in the car was also taken to a Longview hospital for treatment.
No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
