2-Year-Old Girl Dies in 2-Vehicle Crash on Texas 121 in Tarrant County

Two-Year-Old Girl Killed in Tarrant County Crash on State Highway 121 near Mid-Cities Boulevard on Saturday afternoon; Driver Arrested

Tarrant County, Texas (September 24, 2022) – A 2-year-old girl was killed and one driver was arrested following a two-vehicle accident in Tarrant County on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The deadly crash took place on State Highway 121 near Mid-Cities Boulevard and north of the Cheek Sparger Road exit.

According to the authorities, a truck was heading northbound on State Highway 121 when, for unknown reasons, it slammed into the back of a silver sedan on the passenger side.

A 2-year-old girl in the sedan died in the crash. She was in the car seat.

Two children were taken to nearby hospitals with unspecified injuries. It was not immediately known if one of those patients was the deceased child.

The truck driver was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday.

The highway was shut down due to the crash.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
