Celso Manuel Garcia Killed in El Paso Motorcycle Accident at Raynor and Yandell

El Paso, Texas (January 11, 2020) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday night at a central El Paso intersection, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just before 11:00 p.m. on January 9, in the area of Raynor and Yandell.

Police said Celso Manuel Garcia, 38, was riding a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Yandell when Ivan Romo, 27, ran a red light at the intersection and hit him.

Romo then crashed into two parked cars.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Romo, who is a Fort Bliss soldier, was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated manslaughter and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
