Chelsea Sanchez Killed in Crane County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1053

Crane County, Texas (October 25, 2022) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed, and three others were injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Crane County.

The fatal crash happened just after 7:00 a.m., October 22, on FM 1053, about 16 miles west of Crane.

DPS said Chelsea Kell Sanchez, 29, was driving a Nissan Rogue southbound on the highway when her vehicle veered across the centerline into the northbound lane and hit a Dodge Ram.

Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the three people in the Dodge was treated and released at the scene. Another was taken to Crane Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third person was hospitalized in stable condition.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
