1 Killed, 1 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 485 in Cameron

One Killed and One Injured in Cameron Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 485 near CR 260

Cameron, Texas (August 3, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Cameron, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened just after 4:00 p.m., August 2, on FM 485 East near County Road 260.

According to the report, an SUV collided with a van.

The van driver was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

The SUV driver was trapped and had to be freed using the Jaws of Life. The driver was then airlifted to the hospital in unknown condition.

The passenger in the van was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
