Cheyanne Perez and Zackery Lowe Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Crash at 45th Street and Slide Road; Joshua Mendez Arrested

Lubbock, Texas – The two people who were killed early Friday morning in a motorcycle crash in Lubbock have been identified as Cheyanne Perez, 23, and Zackery Lowe, 31, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:08 a.m., March 29, at the intersection of 45th Street and Slide Road.

Police said Lowe was traveling southbound on a motorcycle in the 4600 block of Slide Road with Perez as a passenger. Joshua Mendez, 23, was driving a car northbound when he struck the motorcycle.

Both Perez and Lowe were pronounced dead at the scene.

Mendez had minor injuries. He was arrested for DWI and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
